Ford IT in GBS is growing EC organization focused on delivering software, leveraging Extreme Programming (EP) and cloud technology. In this environment the Software Engineer is expected to work in a pair, working and developing tested code, based on proven Lean/Agile methods. Engineers on the team work to enable that the highest priority work to be delivered with greatest quality in shortest time and in small blocks. “Small” is the key to the process: small teams delivering small functionality blocks and having smaller review timeframes
Job Qualification and Preferred Skills:
- Strong knowledge in Java 8 & Core JAVA.
- Hands on Experience developing RESTful web services & good exposure to
- microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge on Spring Framework development namely Spring MVC, Spring
- boot is of heavy emphasis.
- OOPS Design Principles, Micro services architecture, Cloud native concepts and experience in either
- Pivotal Cloud Foundry/microsoft Azure /AWS
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools and pipelines such as Jenkins,
- Maven/Gradle, GitHub/SVN/Bitbucket etc.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
- Working experience with TDD patterns
- Good knowledge on JUNIT along with any testing frameworks like
- Mockito/PowerMock.
- Knowledge on Kotlin is of added advantage.
