Our UX Engineering team is a part of the Engineering platforms group at Gojek. Our team is based out of Bangalore and collaborates with design teams spread across India and Indonesia. We're a small team of 15 passionate engineers who are focused on eliminating the gap between the designed user experience and the developed user experience in all of Gojek’s applications. We build robust frameworks, libraries, and tools to make implementing Gojek design easy, efficient, and faster to iterate on.
The Gojek app has been downloaded almost 170 million times and our underlying design systems powers the interfaces that helped get us here. In the future, we plan to further expand our design system to cover even more user focused use cases, enhance accessibility, and increase automation to reduce the gap between the design that's envisioned and the design that's shipped.

Job Description
As our Frontend Engineer in the UX Engineering team, you'll collaborate closely with designers & design oriented web-frontend engineers to lead the development efforts of Gojek's web design system. You'll play an integral role in improving the user experience of our web products, as well as build frameworks & tools aimed at improving the development experience & productivity of fellow product engineers. You'll get to be a part of a talented troop of 15 developers based in Bangalore, and join forces with multiple design teams distributed across India and Indonesia. You’ll utilize your skillset to craft meticulous design components and design tools to enable hundreds of developers and designers across the company to construct slick, functional user interfaces that make using Gojek a delight for our users across the globe.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Craft reusable, accessible, and well-tested components that work across various devices & platforms
- Write clear & concise product documentation
- Research, design, and implement elegant solutions to complex web user interface challenges
- Evangelize the design system, tools, and libraries across the organization
- Work with designers to implement prototypes for new features and concepts
- Conduct UX reviews from an engineers perspective and collaborate with designers to take a holistic approach to improve our product experience
Skills Required :
- At least 2 year of experience in building & maintaining modern, rich web applications
- Strong knowledge of foundational web technologies like HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Knowledge of how browsers work is essential
- Experience with frontend frameworks like React & its ecosystem
- Experience with node.js and npm, and with building tools like rollup, babel & webpack
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, cross-functional team
- Strong web design & documentation skills
- A "make and show" attitude with a leaning towards quick iteration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
